Cordova Park Kitchen Remodel

Mid-century modern look created in kitchen remodel for first-time home buyers.

Cordova Park Kitchen Remodel for Crystal and Aron

One of the first things that first-time home buyers Crystal & Aron wanted to do was gut their outdated kitchen in their home in the Cordova Park neighborhood in Pensacola, Florida. We were excited to help them transform their dark, closed in kitchen to an open, welcoming family space during their kitchen remodel.

Crystal & Aron knew exactly what they wanted — an open, mid-century modern style kitchen. The kitchen before the demo was small and very closed in. To open up the space, a wall was removed and replaced with a flat bar that included a custom decorative panel and an apron sink. We helped them create a more functional kitchen by incorporating large pot and pan drawers, a lazy susan and a double trash can cabinet. The pantry also included slide out shelves.

We replaced the old brown cabinets with Kabinart’s “Arts & Crafts” door style. The wall cabinets are painted an “Aspen White” finish, with a matte white hexagon shaped backsplash. This was contrasted by base cabinets finished in “Shade,” a gray paint. Floating shelves accent the range in a cherry wood “Fawn” stain. Crescent shaped pulls, in a brushed bronze finish from Top Knobs, and Carrara quartz supplied by Superior Granite completed the overall look.

Notes from the Designer

“This remodel with Crystal and Aron was an absolute blast!  The way we achieved the mid-century look by using a mix of wood, paint, and metals was amazing.  I loved the pop of color on the bases, and the clean white cabinets on the walls. This transformation is truly breathtaking!”  ~ Casey Curley
